Development Exchange Center - Nepal (DEC - Nepal) is currently recruiting qualified and dynamic Nepalese citizen for “Civil Society: Mutual Accountability Promotion Program” funded by FHI 360.

DEC-Nepal is going to implement Mutual Accountability: Local Initiatives Project with the funding support from FHI 360Nepal to work in Dhading and Makwanpur districts for three years. The goal of the project is to strengthen the effective civil society and media engagement and oversight for the public services delivery and public resource use. In this context, DEC-Nepal intends to recruit qualified Nepali citizen for the following positions:

Position: District Project Coordinator (1 position) for Makwanpur district.

The District Project Coordinator is the senior position for the district, who will be responsible in overall planning, implementation and monitoring of the program activities at district and local level to improve governance, constructive government engagement and; oversight in public services delivery and resources use. S/he will also contribute in improving citizen engagement in the Government social accountability mechanisms and strategic partnership with media in public services delivery and resources uses. S/he will be responsible for developing and operationalizing monitoring and evaluation plan. DPC will support in preparing district level progress report to meet reporting requirements for the project.

Qualifications:

The candidate should have at least Bachelor degree in Social Science or relevant field with minimum of three years of experience in project management, government linkage building, capacity building, social accountability and advocacy. Experience and knowledge on mainstreaming of gender equality and social inclusion promotion will be added assets.
