FHI 360, a global development organization, is seeking highly qualified and dynamic Nepali citizens to join its team for an anticipated Civil Society and Media Strengthening project in Nepal. The program will aim to strengthen the enabling environment for Nepali civil society and media, enhance the capacity of Nepali Civil Society Organizations (CSO) to collaboratively and constructively engage in policy advocacy, and support broad-based, cross- sectoral initiatives that monitor, report and demand greater effectiveness and accountability in governance and public service delivery. Specifically, FHI 360 is looking to fill the following positions:

Deputy Chief of Party: will work with Chief of Party to manage the project’s implementation and oversee its performance management and operations. S/he will be based in Nepalgunj and provide civil society strengthening, capacity development, advocacy, and media technical support to the project. S/he will serve as acting COP as needed, and apply diverse international best practices to program implementation and team management.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE: Relevant advanced degree (Master’s Degree) from an accredited University; experience engaging Nepali CSOs and media organizations, providing advocacy and organizational development support, engaging government, and working for policy reform; knowledge of diverse international best practices related to civil society strengthening, media development, advocacy, and policy; experience with grants management, operations, and donor requirements; strong experience with gender equality and social inclusion, including working with youth, women, Dalit, Janajati, and Madhesi groups; experience with USAID-funded programs, preferably in the governance sector; strong preference for a Nepali national with preferred fluency and familiarity with minority languages spoken in Nepal.

Finance and Administrative Director: will be responsible for overseeing the financial management, accounting, grants administration, and human resource management activities of the project. S/he will oversee a Finance Manager, Operations and Procurement Manager, and Grants Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE: Advanced management or financial degree (Master’s degree) from an accredited university; minimum five years of senior management/leadership experience in finance and administration management; strong experience with gender equality and social inclusion, including experience with youth, women, Dalit, Janajati, and Madhesi groups; experience with USAID-funded programs; strong preference for a Nepali national with preferred fluency and familiarity with minority languages spoken in Nepal.
