MISSION

Within the frame of the MHPS area of Mdm Spain project in Ramechhap District, to provide counseling and training to the targeted population and key actors able to provide MHPS support.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Together with the MHPS Department Coordinator, develop, implement and evaluate the Organization’s MHPS Plan in order to achieve the SMRH (Sexual, Mental and Reproductive Health) objectives of MDM Spain in the District.
• Recruit, train and monitor a team of CPSW (Community Psycho Social Workers) in the region assigned to her.
• Guarantee the inclusion of a gender perspective in all activities developed.
• Monitor the transfer of learning actions’ objectives.
• Carry out individual and group counseling sessions.
• To represent the organization in meetings and other events, when requested.
• Write/compile intervention and learning materials.
• Carry out other tasks within the MHPS department in order to achieve its objectives.
• Follow the MHPS Department reporting system.
• Follow security rules.

THE COUNSELOR CANDIDATE MUST HAVE:

• Formal education as counselor and/or a Psychology degree, a MD related to the position area will be an asset.
• Nepali and English full professional competence; tamang will be an asset.
• At least one year experience in psychosocial support for rural women and children.
• Personal gender awareness and sensitiveness as well as at least one year of work experience with a gender perspective.
• Experience training professionals.
• Multicultural working experience.
• Very good communication skills.
• Good word and excel skills.
