Details / requirements:
Position: Commis I
Position Summary: Assists cook (s) with food preparation and service. Cleans food preparation areas and equipment.
Responsiblities:
- Assists the chefs with food preparation as requested.
- Assists the chef in proper labeling, covering and storing unused food after each meal.
- Assists the chef in cleaning food preparation areas and equipment.
- Assists the chef as requested in inventorying and stocking food products and supplies.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- To remove and hazards and make safe the kitchen or equipment and report problems to senior chef on duty.
- To understand the restaurant’s health and safety policies and carry out the responsibilities effectively.
- To be fully aware and adhere to sickness and accident report procedures.
- To comply with all safety requirements relating to chemicals and cleaning of equipment used in the kitchen.
- To attend all meeting and training sessions in which you are required.
- To comply with any reasonable request from your superiors.
Requirements:
- Able to work on weekends and public holidays
- Essential 3-4 years experience
- Full and part time positions available
- Positive team player
- Flexibility to work in different shifts and be able to work shifts
