Chemonics International, a US-based international development consulting firm, is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for potential long-term and short-term technical level positions for an upcoming USAID-funded local governance project in Nepal. The anticipated project will focus on supporting the upcoming federalization process in Nepal. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Please submit expressions of interest for the following areas:

• Local Governance 

1. Local government capacity building 
2. Public information and social outreach 
3. Municipal finance
4. Public administration
5. Public service delivery
6. Conflict mediation 

• Inclusion and Participation

1. Gender and social inclusion 
2. Community engagement and mobilization 
3. Civil society organization strengthening 
4. Youth participation 

• Strategic Communications (e.g., designing and managing communications or public awareness campaigns)
• Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning
• Subcontracts and Grants Management
• Finance and Operations 
• Accounting

Qualifications for technical specialists:

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree relevant technical area
• 5+ years of progressively more responsible work experience 
• Proven managerial/supervisory experience 
• Strong writing and interpersonal skills 
• Experience with USAID and other donor projects preferred
• Experience working collaboratively with the government of Nepal at various levels, international donors, and local organisations
• Proficiency in English is required
