We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented professional for the following positions with the new Nepal Seed and Fertilizer project, funded by USAID and led by CIMMYT:

POSITION: Assistant Research Associate

Reference No: N16637

Work Station: Mid-West or Far West Nepal

Qualification: Master’s degree in Agricultural Sciences with at least 2 years of experience in cereal-based cropping systems. Ability to work in a team, or to work independently if needed. Proficiency in written and spoken English.

Position description: The Assistant Research Associate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining adaptive research trials and farmers’ participatory trials;developing training material and conducting in-field demonstrations, field days, and farmer trainings; following best practices in data collection, organizing, managing, storing, and archiving data; supporting sustainable partnerships among multiple public and private sector entities;assisting in developing questionnaires and conducting field surveys as needed; coordinating and assisting in efforts to raise awareness about project activities, products, and outcomes among stakeholders, policy makers, and the general public; contributing to project-related communications and outputs, including news and updates, photos and videos.
