We also work extensively on natural resource management, disaster management and climate change adaptation and mitigation activities. Its major interventions are directed towards poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged groups of people in rural areas.

Rural Reconstruction Nepal (RRN)

RRN is one of the leading Nepali Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) working in the areas of people’s empowerment through community development and policy advocacy interventions. RRN invites application from competent candidates to fill in the following positionsfor its project being implemented in selected VDCs of Dolakha district.

1. Agriculture /Livelihood, Documentation and  Institutional  Development Officer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and facilitate training on the livelihood promotions, Institutional developmentof beneficiaries and marketing promotion of farm and non-farm products of the project area etc.
  • Take care of sales, service, training, management, planning, market and product research related to implementing and applying technologies in project area.
  • Develop or strengthen capacity onnetworking, coalitions and alliances of farmers and SHG for access of market / loan and local resources.
  • Conduct action researches on local crop productions, NTFPs including marketing of local products 
  • Analyze agricultural operations and weigh the use of new technologies and methods to increase yields, improve land use, and conserve resources like seed, water, fertilizers, pesticides and fuel.
  • Support the users groups, cooperatives for marketing campaigns and related activities, show innovative ideas for  and marking on their local services and product.
  • Ensure and arrange for the marketing of agricultural product and ensure reasonable and remunerative price of farmers.
  • Support to undertake small scale processing of the agricultural commodities 
  • Ensure environment friendly project interventions in agriculture related project. 
  • Ensure quality monitoring of the programme and staff and timely delivery of inputs.

CORE COMPETENCIES, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

  • Bachelors’degree in Agriculture Science or Food Technologies with 5 years relevant experiences, or Master degree in in Agriculture Science, Food Technology, with two years relevant experiences
  • Having an experience on value chain and marking 
  • Having an experience on rural  institutional development and 
  • Very good knowledge and skills on action researches 
  • Excellent English Language competencies, interpersonal communication and presentations and training facilitation skills and documentation, report writing and knowledge management skills and ability to manage people and building team efforts. 

2. Agriculture Engineer

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Involve in design, estimates  and support for the construction of small scale agriculture infrastructures
  • Prepare reports, sketches, working drawings, specifications, proposals, and budgets for proposed sites
  • Provide technical supports to farmers for the construction improved animals/cattle/poultry sheds
  • Provide technical supports to farmers introducing agriculture tools/small machines both for plantation and harvesting  of crops appropriate to hilly areas 

CORE COMPETENCIES, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Agriculture Engineering or Civil engineering with 2 years relevant experiences  Excellent English Language competencies, interpersonal communication and presentations and training facilitation skills and documentation, report writing and knowledge management skills and ability to manage people and building team efforts. 

3. Veterinary Technicians

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide  technical supports to the farmers on improved breeds specially for cattle and goat
  • Engage in providing technical supports for improved animal shed management 
  • Provide on the spot training to farmers on improved livestock raising 
  • Identify, promote & use the sustainable Livelihoods approach to support and encourage community members, SHG, Farmers  to maximize their existing strength and develop new skills to generate their income.
  • Train to farmer about general care, medical conditions, and treatments of livestock.
  • Support/work closely with other components and thematic officers and Social Mobilizer and project staff

CORE COMPETENCIES, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

  • Successfully completed two years study from  CTEVT  on veterinary or related course and   2 years relevant experiences, Having experience on working in remote areas,very good  interpersonal communication and presentations and training facilitation  skills and documentation, report writing and knowledge management skills and ability to coordinate with people, having high integrity and respect diversit

4. Farmer Field School Trainers/ IPM trainers

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct farmer field schools/FFS-IPM with the project beneficiaries
  • Provide technical supports to farmers on organic and sustainable  farming 
  • Provide on the spot technical supports  to farmers on improved farming, disease and pest control and management in hilly areas.
  • Travel frequently to the communities/farmers and provide technical supports on organic and sustainable oriented farming.
  • Support to identify existing local service providers, agro vet store and stall, market and proper utilization for maximizing the income of rural poor/women/dalit/youth focusing theearthquake affected people.

CORE COMPETENCIES, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

  • Successfully completed course of Agriculture Technicians (JTA)  with 2 years relevant experiences, having experience on working in remote areas ,  very good interpersonal communication and presentations and training facilitation  skills and documentation, ability to coordinate with people, having high integrity and respect diversity

5. Social Mobilizers

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Facilitate the Self Help Groups/users’ committees to conduct regular meeting and update records.
  • Facilitate to conduct project related field training classes to users group, sub-groups, IGA groups & support prepare business plan/LIP for IGA.
  • Mobilization of Local project group to lead in social initiatives and put their demands in VDC/DDC & other line agencies.
  • Work closely with all components and thematic officers and staff and assist in preparing the agreement between users committee and RRN.
  • Support to community in effective & timely implementation of approved activities.
  • Ensure that the project supplies with good quality are delivered in time, stored with proper protection & regular stock/record maintained.

  • Intermediate degree in any discipline with  2 years relevant experiences, Having experience on working in remote areas, very good  interpersonal communication and presentations and training facilitation  skills and documentation, report writing and knowledge management skills and ability to coordinate with people, having high integrity and respect diversity

6. Store Keeper

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Check inventory records for accuracy of goods/materials/ equipment.
  • Keep records of items shipped, received, or transferred to another location.
  • Periodic update, records and reports and disseminate of various aspects of changes in good or record inventory status.
  • Find, sort, or move goods between different parts of the project location as per instruction of management.
  • Act as wire house focal person during emergency situations and ensure Security of each supply

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES:

  • At least Intermediate degree in any discipline with  2 years relevant experiences, Having experience on basic bookkeeping, log keeping, very good  interpersonal communication and presentations and training facilitation  skills and documentation, report writing and knowledge management skills and ability to coordinate with people, having high integrity and respect diversity
