Integrated Community Development Organization (ICDO), Lalitpur Nepal is a non-profit making, non-governmental and non-political network organization of Community Based Organizations (CBOs), established in 2010. ICDO has been working for the sustainable development of the society envisioning "self-reliant, well-governed, prosperous, just and equitable society." ICDO has been working in the areas of sustainable livelihood, DRR, WASH, Climate Change Adaptation (CCA), CBOs development and strengthening, Land Rights and good governance for the past Seven years.

Position : Admin & Finance Officer (AFO)

This is a middle level positions in ICDO team, who is responsible for maintaining books of accounts and ensuring financial credibility of the projects. S/he reports to the Programme Coordinator.

Duration: Fixed contract up toDecember 2017 (extension will be provided as per the performance)

Duty Station: Lalitpur Central Office Chapagoun & time to time visit within the project VDCs.

Required Number: 1 (One)

Academic Qualification:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in accountancy with two years of experience and sound knowledge and skills on financial management. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • The Admin and Finance Officer is responsible for proper accounts keeping of the project and the organization.
  • Ensures complete compliance of local statutory laws and ICDO/LWF Nepal financial policies and administrative procedures of the project.
  • S/he produces financial reports as required by ICDO management and funding partners in an accurate and timely manner. 
  • Maintains systematic inventory records of the project assets and goods.
  • Manages administrative works (office operation, procedures, filing system, inventory record etc.)
  • S/he is responsible to support and monitor the financial transaction of partner CBOs.
  • Checks and reviews all the invoice, supporting documents authorizations for accuracy in payment.  
  • Supports to develop/update financial policies and practices for effective monetary management.
  • Supports to prepare/finalize budgetary plans and proposal.

Experiences and Skills

  • At least two years' practical experience in accounts keeping in NGOs.
  • Proven expertise in financial reporting.
  • Expertise in financial monitoring and controlling.
  • Carried out administrative works. 
  • Strive for promoting transparency and accountability
  • Good understanding of internal control mechanism, systematic knowledge to prevent risks in financial management, good knowledge about accounting software, good knowledge about human resources management including records keeping, good knowledge about laws and policies pertaining to taxation, procurement, among others.
  • Excellent in computer application MS Word, MS Excel, and Tally Accounting Software.
