Details / requirements:

Norlha is an international non-profit, non-political, non-religious association based in Switzerland with Regional Office in Kathmandu that supports remote communities in the Himalayas in building capacities that will allow their sustainable development, through integrated projects in food security, income generation and environment protection, with a strong focus on supporting women. Currently Norlha is developing gender project and is looking for Admin & Finance Officer for its Regional Office in Nepal

Admin & Finance Officer  (Full Time)

MISSION AND ACTIVITIES

Administration

  • Arrange domestic and international travel and accommodation, reservations for trainings, workshops and other events,
  • Arrange and document internal staff meetings,
  • Support Office Assistant with incoming communication, 
  • Prepare visit plans and  provide logistic support to the team in the field, 
  • Arrange and ensure satisfactory and timely provision of the services: office & grounds cleaning: maintenance of facilities; insurances; computer repair & maintenance; and other,
  • Coordinate all regional office purchases of materials and equipment’s with local vendors and services providers,
  • Contribute to develop internal control system,
  • Coordinate communication among different thematic experts and staff,
  • Supervise interns and office assistants

Financial

  • Process travel claims, payment to vendors and other claimants,
  • Maintain day to day financial transactions of regional office using accounting software,
  • Maintain stock book and daily transaction of store, 
  • Monthly deposit of TDS deduction,
  • Preparation of budget and prepare analysis of variance,  
  • Preparation of Monthly Financial Report of the assigned project,
  • Monitor and check the financial report submitted by partners of the assigned projects, 
  • Undertake financial management audit of the assigned project partners,
  • Prepare donor reporting and contribute further communication as required

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum five years experience in administrative and financial management,
  • Academic qualification: Master in Business Administration or Masters in Business Studies or ACCA or CA,
  • Good Knowledge of MS-Office,
  • Good knowledge of Government of Nepal’s tax, VAT policies,
  • Experience in financial management audit and financial monitoring, 
  • Experience in I/NGO sector will be an added advantage
  • Familiar with accounting software
  • Fluent in Nepali and English
  • Team Player and Quick Learner
  • Good Analytical Skill
