CAMRIS seeks an experienced short-term Admin Consultant   for the current USAID/Nepal Monitoring and Evaluation and Learning (MEL) project. The duration of this assignment is for three months and expected onboard from last week of December,2017.

The MEL Project supports achievement of USAID/Nepal’s Country Development Cooperation Strategy development objectives by assisting the Mission in planning, designing, conducting, disseminating and learning from more rigorous monitoring and evaluation of development activities. This includes designing and implementing both quantitative and qualitative evaluations and assessments, as well as providing expert analysis and technical assistance to USAID/Nepal’s programs.

The MEL project has three major components:

Component 1: Support greater rigor and coherence in USAID/Nepal’s M&E efforts

Component 2: Design and conduct analyses, evaluations, surveys, studies, and assessments

Component 3: Support improved knowledge management within the Mission

The Admin Consultant will work closely with the Human Resource Administrator to assist on local procurement, administrative and logistical task for MEL project that are compliant with local polices and USAID rules and regulations.This is a temporary position expected to last about four months a minimum of 30 hours per week.  This position is based in Kathmandu. Nepali citizens encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Support HR administrator for smooth operation of administrative functions and services including secretarial, reception, office supplies, fleet management and preparing payment request
  • Support onprocurement of office materials/ equipment preparing purchase requisition, collecting quotation and compiling them withadequate documentation
  • Support on suppliers’ review and listing potential venders
  • Provide logistical support for arranging hotel, accommodation and vehicle rental for field travel
  • Arrangement of domestic air ticket for national travel of staff and consultants
  • Support on updating safety and security activity updating call tree, servicing AC, and replacing Fire extinguisher and First Aid Kit
  • Update inventory list and maintain proper recording system
  • Make physical verification of store inventory
  • Check log book of vehicle and generator and monitor fuel consumption record
  • Review equipment condition and make recommendation for disposal
  • Support on processing insurance of assets
  • Support staff on filling up forms and format as required
  • Support on filing and organizingon financial and administrative files.
  • Support on official faxing, photocopy and scanning as required
  • Support on office repair and maintenance
  • Ensure confidentiality of all office records.
  • Support on any other activities as required

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
  • Minimum three years of experience on administrative and procurement roles. Human resources experience useful.
  • Experience on working in international organization
  • Good time management and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good Computer skills on MS office, especially Word and Excel
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail
  • Good English language communication, written and oral
